About Me/Contact

Ever since she first read books like Chronicles of Narnia or Goosebumps, Alicia has been a lover of mind-bending fiction. Wherever imagination takes her, she is more than happy to call that place her home. The mother of three and wife to an Army soldier loves chocolate, coffee, and of course good books. When not writing, you can usually find her with her nose in a book, shopping for shoes and fabulous jewelry, or spending time with her loving family.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why did you choose to pursue the art of writing?
IMG_6201I have always loved books, and around the age of 12 I discovered I had a flair for writing and storytelling. I wrote several books during my young adult years (which were not very good and will never see the light of day, LOL!), and always had English and Creative Writing teachers tell me that I would be crazy not to pursue a writing career. Through my college years, I toyed with the idea of other jobs and careers, but I never stopped writing. Poetry, short stories, even a few short plays … I was always writing. After quitting my job to stay home full time, I found the time to write my first novel and work to get it published. I haven’t looked back sense.

When you sit down to write do you listen to music and if so what do you like to listen to? I do listen to music when I write. What I listen to depends on what I’m writing. The music sets the mood for me. For the Bionics series, I like to listen to Fallout Boy, Evanescence, Ellie Goulding, Lana Del Rey, Florence and the Machine, and sometimes movie scores from films like The Hunger Games.

Β What inspired you to write The Bionics Series?
I was really struck by the state of America in current times, and toying with the idea of how things could be if we don’t wake up and make some changes. Conflicts are popping up all over the world, we’re destroying our environment, politics has gotten out of control and divided people … I loved the idea of exploring the possibilities of a world that has advanced so far in technology, yet has had so many political and social setbacks that it’s crippled us.

What is the one thing (or multiple) you always have with you while writing?IMG_6229
My Beats by Dre headphones (they’re noise cancelling), my laptop of course, a snack (usually something crunchy or sweet), coffee or water, and a blanket to drape over my legs (I’m cold natured).

What should we expect from you in the future?
Who knows, really? I’m so ecclectic in my writing that people should always expect the unexpected. I have ideas for suspense, time travel, romance, fantasy, you name it! But at the heart of all that, always expect strong characters (particularly strong young women), as well as diverse characters!

    1. Hi Barbara,
At the moment, the book is not complete so there is no release date. I hope to have it done in time for the Summer.

  1. You tell a wonderful tale and I am enjoying the first Fallada book. I would like you to know, though, that reign and rein are not the same. This is the third book in a row that I have read that has an author who does not know the difference. A rein is attached to the bit in the, generally, horse’s mouth. It is used to aid in guiding and controlling the animal (in conjunction with seat and legs). Reign is what a king or queen does while they are said King or queen. Both have uses as either noun or verb.
Also, learn when to use “I” as opposed to “me”. Take out the other person. If the sentence is wrong with “I” alone, it is wrong when used with another person. The brother’s Grimm would not have used it incorrectly. They probably would not have spoken in such an informal way, either, but that is acceptable for the audience intended.
I’m telling you this because I do like your book and think you are worth reading. I didn’t bother with the other authors. Their books were not as good.

    1. Hello Heidi, thanks for taking the time to write me. I actually DO know the difference. The error was a typo, not me having no understanding of the difference between the words.

Thanks for pointing it out so I Can fix it.

  2. Hi just wanted to let you know I loved V-Card and Brat! I’m addicted to these characters so really looking forward to Thin (although I reckon it’s going to be toughest read of the series so far…such a sad topic). Really glad I came across your stuff in the Kindle Store!

    1. Hello,
I’m glad you enjoyed the first 2 books. yes, Thin will be a difficult read … it was certainly difficult to write. But I hope you’ll hang in there because Kinsley’s ending will be a happy one for sure πŸ™‚

  6. Your books are fabulous, loving the fallada series at the moment. I am half way through ‘Tempests Fury’ and was wondering when the next book in the series will be released. Thanks for the books, a great read. X

    1. Hi there,
Book 5, Flight of the Phoenix isn’t finished so it doesn’t have an official release date. I’ll be sure to post updates everywhere when a date is forthcoming. Thanks for reading. I’m glad you’re enjoying the series πŸ™‚

  7. I have read the 3 books from the sharing spaces series, and I was wondering if you plan to write books about Luke and Chris? I really enjoyed the books about the 3 girls and am hoping I will get to enjoy the boys stories too.

    1. Hi there,
Yes, the boys will absolutely get books told from their POV. If you’ll notice, book 3 kind of sets up Christian’s story, which will be book 4 πŸ™‚
I hope to release books about both boys in 2017. Thanks for reading, and I’m glad you’ve enjoyed the series so far.

  8. Hi Alicia,
I really enjoyed The Lost Kingdom of Fallada series. Please please tell me there is another book to come after Flight of the Phoenix? And when will it be published.

    1. Hi Sylvia!
There’s definitely more to come in the Lost Kingdom of Fallada series. There will be 2 more books (Making 1 book for each of the lost princesses). By the time we end with book 7, all the storylines will be wrapped up nicely.

  9. I just finished reading V-Card and I loved it! I signed up for your newsletter, and was just wondering how long it takes for the free book to be sent. I can’t wait to get it! Thanks!

    1. Hi Tracey,
Based on the date I see you signed up, you should have both freebies by now. Let me know if you have any trouble receiving them.

  10. First time reading your writings. Loved Bellamy and the Brute! I usually read historical romance. This appeared on Book Bub had to give it a try. Loved it ordered the second in series from Amazon. I did not know Bellamy enticity but immediately pictured Amandla Steinberg as Bellamy. Question, Any chance of a movie? I usually don’t watched horror movies couldn’t put this book down! I loved it!
