The Lost Kingdom of Fallada Series

The Lost Kingdom of Fallada Series

(Prequel Novella):
In the year 1845, before the mystical land of Fallada was separated from the realm of men forever, the two worlds coexisted in harmony. Man could mingle freely in the world of the Elves and Faeries at will and peace reigned.

In the hills of Shropshire, England, just miles from the gate separating the village of Ludlow from the world of mystical creatures, farmer’s daughter Zara Wells longs for answers. It is not only the golden hair that trail feet behind her, or the strange hue of her violet eyes that separates her from the other girls her village. There is something inside of her, something touched by magic that longs to know more about what lies on the other side of the gate.

In Fallada, darkness has begun to spread. As the youngest and most beautiful girls of her village begin to disappear, Zara comes closer to discovering the true circumstances surrounding her birth. Little does she know, that the closer she comes to the answers she so desperately desires, the closer she will come to being ensnared in the dark queen’s web of growing treachery.

On the outside, seventeen year-old Selena McKinley is like any other teenage girl. Yet Selena has always felt as if she doesn’t belong and is counting the days to graduation and her freedom from the small town that makes her feel so out of place, when the arrival of a stranger turns her world upside down. Selena will learn just how different she is and the truth of where she comes from.

A lost princess, they call her, the catalyst for a war involving a world that Selena was taken from as a child. An evil queen obsessed with her own beauty with a plan to enslave the human race.…the notion seems so silly, yet Selena knows in her heart that it is true. Then there is Titus, the shape shifter whose blue eyes and claims of destiny hold her heart captive. Can Selena find the strength to do what she must while following her heart?

Get a degree, get a job, save adorable foster siblings from the clutches of the evil foster mom … These are Jocylene Sanders’ top priorities as she enters her sophomore year of college. The last thing she expects is to find herself the champion of an entire kingdom. However, that is just what happens when the mysterious Faerie, Rothatin Longspear, appears to her, tasking her with saving a parallel world full of creatures from her wildest dreams.

Jocylene journeys with him into the world of Fallada, hoping for answers about her birth parents and background. What she finds is a mystifying past, and an even more uncertain future, as her heart becomes entangled with the stoic, battle-hardened Rothatin, as well as Eli, the untroubled Panther Shifter with no loyalties and no home. With her heart and soul pulled in so many directions, can Jocylene find the strength needed to become the savior one nation so desperately needs?

Phaedra Jones’ life is perfect. She loves her small coastal town and the beach, graduation is just a year away, and she’s in love with the boy of her dreams. Unfortunately, everything changes when Phaedra’s boat goes down in a storm. Luckily, Phaedra survives, finding herself in a world beyond anything she could ever imagine. Not only does she discover that she is a Mermaid shifter of the underwater kingdom of Zenun, but the kingdom of Fallada—where fairytale creatures live and breathe—is depending on her. Phaedra risks losing everything: her perfect life, her family, even the boy she loves … all for a cause she has no stake in.

Arrian Riverleaf, Elf prince of the Riverleaf Clan, has been shunned by his people for over a century. After his arrogance caused him to be cursed, he became a hideous creature, only a shadow of his former self. When Princess Phaedra arrives in Fallada, he does not intend her to steal his heart. With her lost love to compete with and his own insecurities over his unattractive face, Arrian fights his feelings, knowing she could never look beyond his curse to love him.

As the two fight together to save Phaedra’s people, the realm of Fallada and the world of men will both hang in the balance as the battle between good and evil rages on.

Gretchen Thomas isn’t exactly princess material. She’s not thin, perky, graceful, or refined. So, when a mysterious man claiming to be from another world appears, telling her that she’s royalty, her first instinct is to laugh in his face. However, his assertion that she’s from this strange parallel realm rings true—especially given the freakish abilities she’s had since childhood.

Yet, with that knowledge comes a set of expectations Gretchen isn’t sure she can live up to. With an entire kingdom relying on her to fight for them against an evil queen, and a long lost family hoping to reunite with her, being a princess doesn’t seem like all it’s cracked up to be. One thing is for sure; when the war between good and evil spills over from one realm into another, disrupting her life and threatening the brother who raised her, Gretchen will not hesitate to unleash the powerful storm brewing inside of her.

Pampered and hidden away from the world, Princess Desdemona Ravenmoore was taught to hate and fear the enemies of her mother, Queen Eranna. However, once striking out on her own, she unlocked the power burning deep within—the ability to create and control fire. With her newfound power and strength came the knowledge that her mother did not hide her away to protect her, but rather to prevent her from becoming the powerful being she was meant to transform into. One of the mightiest creatures in the universe. A Phoenix.
Confronted with the truth of her mother’s treachery, Desmonda faces a choice: join the other princesses of Fallada to wage war against her mother, and reclaim their kingdom from the forces of darkness, or remain neutral and avoid being used for her power. Uncertain which path to follow, she fears that no matter what she decides, she will not be valued for the person she is, but for the weapon she can become if brought under someone’s control.
Bear shapeshifter Malachi Voran lost everything when his mate and son were taken captive by the dark queen. Despite doing what was necessary to free them, his mate was lost to him forever. Since then, he has dedicated his life to the fight against Queen Eranna; an effort that includes helping Desdemona learn to harness and control her power. Yet, the more time he spends in her company, the more entranced he has become—not just by her power, but by the tempestuous feelings that being near her causes deep within him. With the battle lines drawn, Malachi is ready to fight for the liberation of the kingdom of Fallada. Whether or not he has the strength required to fight for the heart of a phoenix, is another matter entirely.

  1. When is the next book after tempest fury going to be available? I so want to read more!! I love how each princess is unique from the next. A redhead in the wind, black curls for the phoenix,a brunette earth bender, wavy dark hair for the mermaid, and dark hair for the tempest… but where’s the blonde?

    1. Hi, Flight of the Phoenix doesn’t have a release date yet, but I’ll keep everyone posted on my progress. I hope to have news for you guys soon.

As far as the princesses, they are so much more diverse than their hair colors. They are diverse in age, race, background, and body-type. The mermaid, Phaedra, isn’t just ‘wavy-haired’, she’s also black with an athletic build. Selena is a redhead but also ‘average’ in beauty in a girl next door kind of way. Gretchen is plus-sized with a goth/punk style. Desdemona is very willowy in her body shape (so, thin and kinda flat chested) with pale skin … all are different in so many ways. There is one princess left to reveal at this point and I cant tell you what she’ll look like. I can tell you she’ll be just as unique as the others 🙂

PS. Every last one of the Fae, including Adrah, are blonde.

  2. When will the fifth book be coming out. I am really excited for it. Can you possibly tell a release date for the book? Or about the time it will come out?

    Thank you.

  3. When will flight of the Phoenix come out!!! I’m so excited. I can’t wait for it to come out. Please say it will be soon 😀

    1. Hi!
I wish I had a date to share with you, but right now I don’t. I hope to have one soon though.
      Thanks for reading 🙂

    1. Hi there. Here’s the info:
Selena aka Eladria is from Damu (desert region)
Jocylene is from Mollac (snowy region)
Desdemona (Jocylene’s sister) is also from Mollac
Phaedra and Sonia (sisters) are both from Zenun (underwater kingdom)
Gretchen aka Brione, is also from Damu (Selena’s sister)

The only princess who hasn’t been revealed doesn’t have a name yet, and she is the High Princess, daughter of the High King Endroth. So, she will someday be queen of all Fallada.

      Hope that helps!

      1. The breakdown of all the princesses human names and their actual names helps keep it all in line. Thanks.

      1. Ok thanks so much xx I can’t wait these books have been one of my favourite series so far and I am still constantly re reading them especially the first and fourth book with selina and gretchen

  14. Alicia,

Love your books. Have bought all I can form my nook.. Thank you taking me away for a few hours everyday. Can’t wait till end of year for next book.

  15. I have been waiting over a year. Really was looking so forward to Rise of the Phoenix but kinda over it now. Would have neen nice to finish the story but guess not.

    1. I am sorry if you’re ‘over it’ but as an author I juggle 3 series’ and all 3 of those series’ have fans who are waiting for the next book just like you. As a person, I also juggle a busy life that includes 3 young children, one of whom stays home with me all day. Writing a book is not like sticking something in the microwave and pulling it out in 30 seconds. it is an art and a craft, one that takes time.

I will not rush that process for any reason, but am happy to know that true fans of the series will patiently wait for the next installment. After all, the author of Game of Thrones has been known to make his readers wait half a decade or more for his next book … I’d have to say with one year between books, I’m doing a bit better than he is at not keeping my readers waiting.

  16. Oh my, I loved these books. They are so creative. You can see the colors od each realm of their worlds. With exh description so throughly layed out. I will recommend these book to my grandchildren and nieces. I love the fantasy worlds you have built. You have given the encouragement and strength to young women and children who realize they can be anything they chose. With standing all challenges in life. I wish the educational system would give these books to the middle school students to read. It would give them the power of imagination, and a positive surrounding of a world with problems that can still keep them strong. I over all the books waiting to get the last one when I can. Love your writing and imagination. I love series books. This are wonderful I am so excited that I started reading the first one. Thank you. Sometimes a god read can lead to a new way of thinking, releasing me from my own thoughts and troubles. I needed a good vacation lol. Hope your life is fulling and happy.

    1. Hi there! I’m glad to hear you’ve enjoyed the series so far. I’m hoping to have book 6 ready for a fall/winter release. Definitely before the end of the year!

  22. Hi Alica I recently finished the 5th book. I am wondering when the 6th book will be out? Please answer back ASAP. I love the series so far I’ve read the first 5 books within 2 weeks because they are so good the only reason why I ever stopped reading them was to go because of sleep, eating, and having to go to school ,so I really would like to know when the 6th book is coming out!!!! The only part that I did not like was that Eli died, I know he died protecting Desomonda, so it was for a good cause but i can only imagined the pain that Jocelyn went through but it was still really sad. I cried when that happened. You are a really good writer so please countinue this series as long as possible.
